Many thanks to everyone who came out to our walk on July 31st! We had over 600 people registered and raised almost $40,000 to end child abuse! Without all your dedication and amazing support, we would have never been able to have such a successful event.
Thank you to all that made it out and to all those who took a stand and pledged. It was a day full of fun and excitement for everyone! To see photos of the event please click here.

Let us know about your 1,000 Mile Journey experience. Leave a comment, start a conversation about what the end means to you. Tell us what you want to see from our event next year.
If you are already registered, you can turn in your pledges at the event this morning. Each walker for the 1000 Mile Journey collects $25 in pledges as well as the registration for your participation. The registration tent will be near State Street on the Capitol Square from 10AM-12. If you aren’t big on fundraising, you can pledge yourself by cash, check, or credit card!! All pledges are tax deductible.
If you haven’t registered at all, you can still do so. It’s $35 for adults plus $25 in pledges, children 9 and under are still free, but need to turn in $25 in pledges. You can scoop up a few pledges before you come in this morning and bring them along, or just pledge yourself! Registration this morning starts at 10am. Come early and avoid the lines!
Kids activities start this morning at 10:30 and are carnival style– tickets are $1 and available at the merchandise tent starting at 10AM.
Can’t wait to see you all there!
The walk is super easy because it’s only 2 laps around the capitol square! You can still sign up online until 6pm on Saturday. So show us just how marvelous you are and sign up before it’s too late!!

Did you see Hanna’s interview on NBC 15 with Leigh Mills last night? Check it out:
Skip the lines on Sunday and pick up your shirt and drop off your pledges on Saturday!
Stop by the Urban League in Madison (2222 South Park Street, just north of the belt line) to pick up your event shirt and turn in pledges on Saturday July 30th from 12pm to 2pm.
If you want one of those prize packages for top pledge earners, your pledges MUST be in to us by 2pm on Saturday July 3oth. All online registration and pledging must be complete by 6pm on Saturday. Any pledges turned in after 6pm on Saturday WILL NOT count towards prizes, but still count toward awesomeness!
